I’m Keira, a South Carolina girlie with a soft spot for Jax, Florida. My husband and I are slowly renovating our early-1970s home while balancing work, family, and fun. I relish in gathering people together to eat, laugh, play, share stories, and engage in deep conversation. Making memories is a huge joy in life, and documenting them is so important to me, which brings me to Gather Savor Dwell.

These words evoke a sense of space in which we can honor and create memories. A place where we can cultivate and curate experiences with intention. I’ve created GSD to share how I practice those notions and to document life. When you strip it down, it’s really just a diary, a memory book, a scrapbook, a letter from my past self; it’s full of experiences, food reviews, stories, products I used, creative projects, random musings, things that made me ooh and ahh… and lists. Ohh, how I love lists!

So here’s a bit more about me in… you guessed it …list form!

GATHER | I love bringing people together and connecting with them in real life. Don't get me wrong — social platforms, texting, and email are useful tools for updates when life gets busy or keeps us apart. But gathering in person helps us recognize the value in being present in the moments that we do have together and reminds us to make space for these moments when we can.

SAVOR | Hitting up local eateries and bars is one of my favorite parts of travel. There's a thrill in tasting something that you may never get the chance to try again and discovering new flavor combinations. Of course, there’s always room for tried and true faves.

DWELL | Mr. Heid and I bought a new house in 2024. The moment we walked in, we immediately knew it was the right one for the long haul. It’s an early 1970s fixer upper, but it has a lot of outdoor space, a pond, room for everything, and potential for expansion. The thought of making this house reflect our family in a cohesive way is so exciting (and daunting). We want our home to be an extension of ourselves, where people feel welcome and comfortable. We purchase and place items based on what they say about us and how useful they’ll be for both our daily lives and entertaining guests. Making a space our own definitely takes time (and money - ugh), but we’re learning to celebrate the tiniest moments of progress and know it’s all worth it!
